This healthy, probiotic-rich ranch dressing is made from 24 hour yogurt but is reminiscent of ranch from a bottle – in a good way! It’s great with veggies, on salads or with chicken wings.
Ingredients:
1 cup 24 hour yogurt
1 Tablespoon garlic oil
1 tsp dried chives or 1 Tablespoon fresh chives
1 tsp dried parsley or 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley
1 tsp dried dill or 1 Tablespoon fresh dill
1/4 cup parmesan cheese (optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt
Fresh ground pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl or glass tupperware.
2. Dressing will keep for about a week in the refrigerator – if you don’t eat it all before then.
Is there any store brand yogurt that can be used instead of 24 hour yogurt?
Hi Deborah! Yes, White Mountain yogurt is fermented for 24 hours and is lactose free. It is most likely available at a Whole Foods or other “higher end” grocery stores. Hope that helps!
